Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear for my senior portrait?
There’s a simple answer. Wear what makes you feel good and most like yourself.
When it’s time for the shoot, bring a variety of clothes to choose from. Get creative! Bring hats, cool shoes, boots, jackets, jewelry, scarves— you name it! Got an awesome prom dress? Feel free to bring that, too. If you’re unsure about something, bring it anyway.
Can I include anything about my extra-curricular activities like sports or music?
Bring props to the shoot that are meaningful to you. We can work with your uniforms, musical instruments, sports equipment or well-loved dance shoes. We want to make your pictures an expression of who you are right now, and these activities are part of your identity.
Who can come with me to my senior portrait session?
Feel free to bring a friend, sibling or mom and dad. Sometimes it’s nice to have someone come along to make you laugh and carry your gear.
What if I have a zit?
We can retouch everything we send to the school or print, for a small extra price if the retouching is excessive. So those temporary blemishes will disappear and be no problem for you!
What if it rains on the day of my senior photoshoot?
Bring a cute umbrella? Joking. Unless you want to!
If you’re scheduled to have a senior photo shoot outdoors and it looks like it’s going to rain, call us before you leave and we’ll decide if we need to reschedule. Regardless, we’ll still have the indoor portion of your session (if you have one). Keep in mind summer and autumn showers come and go quickly; it might be raining where you are, but sunny here.
Will my nails show? They're kind of a mess.
Fix it. Chipped nails are instantly visible in most images, and your senior pictures will be around forever.
We always recommend manicures and pedicures before a photo shoot. If you get your toes done we’ll definitely get pictures of you with bare feet! At a minimum, remove all your flaking polish and come in with bare nails; that way you look nice and polished.
WHERE DO I CHANGE MY CLOTHES DURING THE SESSION?
Be prepared to turn your car into a dressing room! Most of the locations we visit don’t have a public restroom. We will be walking at some of the locations, so we suggest comfortable flip flops to wear between locations.
